High Performance Development Phase

"A well designed training plan based on sound principles of long-term development will lead to high performance"
Dr. Tudor Bompa, 2000

If we analyze this quote from Professor Bompa, we can define the "well designed training plan" as a periodization model for training efficiency and the "sound principles of long-term development" as what this website so far has been all about through the phases of our YADP: a complete and systematic multilateral approach for motor skills and biomotor abilities acquisition.

At Sport Development International we design customized periodization training plans for individual athletes and teams in order to facilitate the best results possible to occur. From 19 years of age and beyond extend the scope of the high performance phase which will bring athletes to peak performance at maturity which is around 27 years of age for team sports, older for endurance sports, and much younger for some female athletic activities such as gymnastics and figure skating.

This level of performance is not reachable for everyone, moreover not everyone has indeed this goal in mind. But one thing is for sure, to get an athlete to a durable high performance level without a long-term multilateral sport development is close to impossible. We offer solutions to existing stale training processes in order to optimize personal and team performances through the manipulation of training volume, intensity, and the optimization of the recovery between training sessions and competition.
